Fish, pasta and typical Gomerian dishes, fresh daily
A few tips from the menu at the restaurant El Faro:
The restaurant is well known for its variety of fish dishes using bonito, dorada (seabream), atun (tuna), lublina (sea bass), mariscos (seafood), or gambas (prawns).
The fish dishes are served with Canarian potatoes, papas arrugades, and homemade green mojo sauce.
How about a popular salad with queso de cabra, honey and nuts? Or some tapas? A vegetarian meal, perhaps?
The almejas clams in garlic/white wine sauce are also interesting, as is the chicken curry with pineapple and the conejo rabbit.
Almogrote, a spicy cream cheese, is also an integral part of Gomerian cuisine. The restaurant El Faro serves almogrote as a starter or a snack.
If you’re in the mood for something sweet, choose from a selection of home-made cake. Freshly squeezed fruit juices are another El Faro highlight.
