Whale Watching Tours

Every tour is new and different. Whales and dolphins in the wild are roaming the oceans constantly, and we never know where they are in that moment.

In small groups of eight to ten guests, accompanied by an experienced captain and competent guide, we go out on each tour and search for them – and preferably we find them as well of course!

Biodiversity

In the South-West off La Gomera, no less than 23 different species of whales and dolphins have been sighted over the last 16 years.

The ones that we encounter most regularly are Pilot whales, Bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic spotted dolphins and Rough-toothed dolphins. But also Beaked whales, Sperm whales and Baleen whales might show up any time here.

In springtime, the chances are good to see Striped dolphins, Common dolphins, more sea turtles and sometimes small sharks. This area is always good for a surprise!

Fascination Whale Watching

We cannot give a sighting guarantee – we believe that nature-lovers are able to accept the ocean as it shows itself on that particular day.

Feel free to expect everything – because anything can happen here, even Blue whales have been seen here sporadically!

But please do accept it if things turn out otherwise, just enjoy the powerful ocean itself, the sea birds, maybe a sea turtle, jumping tuna or the sunlight sparkling on the water surface.

During the warmer months, there might also be a possibility to stop for a swim.

Please enquire for our sunrise tours and the ‘Sails and Whales’ day tours.

You can also come and visit our information centre, rent snorkelling gear or find beautiful ocean souvenirs in our little shop in the orange OCEANO building near the harbor of Vueltas/Valle Gran Rey. We are looking forward to welcoming you here!
