Excursiones Amazonia offers relaxing whale watching off of La Gomera, leaving from the harbour Valle Gran Rey. Captain Juan and the experienced German guide, Bernd, sail out on an 11-meter-long wooden boat to look for whales and dolphins.
Hop on board the beautiful boat Amazonia for an unhurried trip out to sea.
The Amazonia has plenty of room to relax, sunbathe and, of course, to watch the wildlife in the water.
Whale watching with Excursiones Amazonia
The friendly Gomerian captain, Juan, sailed fishing boats for over twenty years; he’s an expert on the waters around La Gomera.
The experienced dolphin and whale expert, Bernd Brederlau, shares his knowledge about the mammals around La Gomera with plenty of humour. He has been active for whales and dolphins on the Canary Islands since 1994.
The Atlantic around La Gomera is an ideal place to experience the animals in their natural habitat.
Some species are native to these parts and can be seen regularly; others pass by on their yearly migration.
Four-hour tour with swimming stop
Juan and Berns are out at sea with their guests for about four hours during whale-watching trips.
After the trip out to the whales and dolphins, the boat makes a swimming stop in an idyllic bay.
A swimming ladder and platform let guests enter and exit the water comfortably.
Delicious catering included
Guests can enjoy typical Canarian food and drink – wine, water, beer, and non-alcoholic refreshments— after their dip in the sea.
A shaded area at the back of the boat and a toilet in the cabin make for a comfortable trip.
The Excursiones Amazonia boat then sets sail back to the harbour in Vueltas at a relaxed pace.
Whale and dolphin watching from the harbour Valle Gran Rey
The whale-watching tours leave in the mornings and afternoons from the harbour in Valley Gran Rey. Excursiones Amazonia also offers sunset tours on request.
