Las Hayas

Bordering the national park and surrounded by palm groves, the idyllic mountain village lies in a hilly landscape. Thick trade wind clouds often pass over Las Hayas, which lies at over 1000m above sea level, allowing for year-round farming.

The settlement Las Hayas is better known for culinary reasons however.

Local specialities

Locals feel at home in the Ampuro bar, which not only serves drinks, but also excellent cabrito dishes and local specialities.

Hikers especially, enjoy the bar La Montana at the small Eucalyptus grove. Vegetarians have been enjoying luscious meals at Dona Efigenia for over three decades.
