Trasmediterranea
For holiday-makers with a lot of time on their hands, there is the alternative of travelling by car via the south of Spain. A car-ferry of the Transmediterranea shipping company leaves from the harbour city Cadiz to Santa Cruz in the north of Tenerife.
You should factor in about four days for the drive to Cadiz. The Transmediterranea car-ferry takes two days to sail from Cadiz to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Continuing on to La Gomera
After arriving in the capital of Tenerife you then head for Los Cristianos to the south, from there you can reach La Gomera by ferry. This option is only suitable for holiday-makers with a large time budget.
