Horse riding
From the top of a horse you can experience the landscape from a very interesting perspective. Anyone who is interested can go riding in the Valle Gran Rey. In the other parts of the island, less horses and more donkeys can be found.
The grey, four-legged creatures still serve the inhabitants as traditional beasts of burden.
Donkeys used to be irreplaceable in transporting goods. Today this has been replaced by more modern means of transport.
Excursions by horse
La Gomera is not known explicitly as an island for horse riding. Long rides are hampered by over fifty wild ravines with steep cliffs.
Anyone wanting to discover La Gomera by horse will find little riding stalls in Valle Gran Rey and El Cedro.
